I have never really enjoyed surprises all that much. Why? Because I miss the joy of anticipation! Part of the goodie for me is the planning and believing something wonderful is about to happen. I tend to be a little dramatic, so naturally, I think we should have a “drum roll please!”
What are you anticipating at this time in your life? Be honest. Has your adult skepticism caused you to anticipate less? Even worse, have you fallen to the level of only anticipating negative things? If so, we definiitely don’t want to stay there.
Let’s go back to a time when you believed the best things in life would actually come to you!
Jesus has a bunch of Gifts He has already promised to give you. Read about them and anticipate receiving them! Right now, Jesus is working on the house you will move up to one day. And guess what! I love this part! He personally will escort you there!
Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You believe in God; believe also in Me.
My Father’s House has many rooms;
if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back
and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am.
