Overflowing With God’s Love!

Paul gives a good description of Love. Would you want to be around someone who is this way all the time?

Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with The Truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

God is all those things and more.
God is Love!
1 John 4:8

So we can go back and put God’s Name every place Paul says Love. Example: God is patient. God is kind.

And we can go even further in bringing The Word to Life. We can use God’s Other Name. In sharing what His Other Name is, God also revealed how He shares The Power of that Name with us.

Moses asked God what His Name was. God answered.

“I AM WHO I AM.”
Exodus 3:14

God’s Name is I AM. Let’s read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 again. This time, use God’s Name of I AM!

I AM patient,

I AM kind.

I do not envy,

I do not boast,

I AM not proud.

I do not dishonor others,

I AM not self-seeking,

I AM not easily angered,

I keep no records of wrongs.

I do not delight in evil but rejoice with The Truth.

I always protect,

I always trust,

I always hope,

I always persevere.

God’s Love in me never fails!

Faith allows us to believe in God’s Love. Faith allows us to know God’s Love is in us. Faith allows us to know He will love us so powerfully His Love will overflow and fill the world.

I challenge you to try this for a week. Read the I AM version out loud. Don’t evaluate yourself on how you are doing in your own strength. Simply read it and praise God for His Love in you. The fruit of The Words planted in you is growing!

You may discover after a week, you want to continue to make this your daily agreement with God. Read it and hear Him saying it to you. Then say it back to Him!

May The Lord make your Love increase and overflow for each other, and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
