I battle anxiety. As much as I try to be positive about life, there are things that get to me and I move beyond anxiety into fear.
Satan is sneaky. Sometimes I believe I have conquered fearfulness about something at the front door and he gets in the back door. I am caught unaware and I fall back into old fears.
How was satan able to get to Job? He knew just where to strike. He struck at what Job feared.
Job said, “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me.”
Job 3:25
Paul advised us not to fall back into fear. It is easy to go back where you have been before. Don’t do it!
“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’”
Romans 8:15
Today in between my fretting, worrying, whining and begging, I reflected on Paul’s good words. God spoke to my heart and mind.
I am sure the message is meant to be shared with you or someone you know.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything.
Pray about everything.
Pray. Understand your connection with Jesus. He is in you and you are in Him.
Thank God. Meditate on all the ways He has always provided for you.
Request what you believe you need. He already knows what you need, but He will listen to you. Talking to Him will bring you more in line with His Perfect Will, Which is more than anything you can ask or imagine.
Receive The Peace of God Which surpasses all understanding! You will be able to feel peace even when you see nothing in your situation to feel peaceful about.
God will guard your heart and mind. When you surrender to Him, He Himself will guard your mind from anxious thoughts. He will guard your heart from fear and doubt.
You will go beyond just believing to knowing for sure and certain that Jesus is with you always.
“Peace I leave with you; My Peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27
