Jesus never promised the world would be peaceful. In fact, He warned it would bring trouble.
But, He said, for us to take heart, because He had overcome the world.
Satan would say, “Big deal. He got up over the storm. Too bad He didn’t take you with Him. Guess you will have to wait until He comes back. But in the meantime, I’m here!”
However, Jesus defeated satan long ago. It was really no contest. And Jesus continues to overcome the world from inside each one of us. He has given us the lasting Gift of Peace. He is with us always.
Take a few moments and receive the Gift He is giving you. Receive His Peace and then pass it on!
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
