The physical building of the church is important. However, The Church is more than physical buildings.

Sometimes churches spend a lot of time figuring out how to get bodies into the seats, but fail to go to people wherever they are outside the walls.

We never thought we would be lost sheep from a church we loved. But after health issues forced us to stay home, it appeared we were forgotten.

The good news is that after a time in the desert, we were found by a community of faith who was willing to go beyond the walls of the church.

Their love and care came to us in amazing ways from personal visits to our being able to enjoy flowers from the altar of the church.

We joined Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in the fall of 2022.

Today, in yet another amazing gesture of ministry outside the walls, Bishop Mark Van Koevering and Father Jon Hall came to our house, anointed us, and received us officially into the Episcopal Church.

It was an amazing afternoon of commitment and sharing. The fragrance of the anointing oils now fills the house, as a gentle breeze blows through. I feel The Love. I feel The Joy. I feel God’s Peace.

This is one of the many houses of The Lord. And He lets us live here with Him!

We hope these two messengers of God are also feeling that it was good to be in This House of The Lord today!

I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to The House of The Lord!”
Psalm 122:1
