We understand the concept of planting a seed and waiting for God to turn it into a flower at just the right time … God’s Time.
All our longing for it to happen immediately will not make it grow any faster. Any attempts to raise it from the ground any sooner would result in its destruction or bring forth something that was immature and would die quickly.
We sometimes do not understand that God works in the same way in our lives. We pray, and want immediate results. When we don’t get what we want, we may doubt God is hearing us.
We may believe that He hears us, but for some reason, He is refusing to answer us.
We may feel we need to help things along by doing something ourselves.
And then we may simply give up.
God uses every growing season to strengthen us and bring us to maturity, so that in the fullness of time He can raise us to His Glory.
“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
James 1:4
“He Who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6
