My parents were married for ten years and had no children. My mother said she wondered why, but she accepted that God’s Will and Timing is perfect.
After ten years my mother became pregnant. However, at the time of delivery, there was a problem.
The doctor came out of the delivery room and told my father he was not sure he could save either my mother or the baby. He asked my father if it came down to a choice, which he should save.
My father said there was no question. He believed God would save both of them. The doctor returned to the delivery room. My father fervently prayed.
My mother and my brother lived. My mother lived into her 90s. My brother has just celebrated his 87th birthday.
Eleven years after my brother was born, my mother became pregnant again. Once again, there was a complication at delivery.
The same questions were raised again. My father prayed again. Again my mother was spared and I was born. Today I celebrate my 76th birthday.
I have never doubted God’s Perfect Timing and Plan for my life. I have struggled at times to understand it, but I know His Way is Perfect.
I am thankful for His Mercy and Grace and giving me too many do overs to count.
I am humbled to have been used by Him in ways far beyond my human abilities.
I am thankful He walks with me and talks with me and keeps teaching me more about Him and the wonderful, beautiful world He has created.
I am excited about the previews of heaven He has given me.
We are all here because God planned for us to be here at this time. He planned it before He brought us here.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:10
God knew exactly where we would live and for how long.
God began by making one man, and from him He made all the different people who live everywhere in the world. He decided exactly when and where they would live.
Acts 17:26
All of the joys and sorrows of life .. All the twists and turns … All the lessons learned … have brought us to this moment in time. We are right on time.
God has a Plan for His World and He has a Plan for us.
I begin my next trip around the sun confident that Our Creator goes before us and behind us and is with us always!
