On July 16, 2025, I had a cervical laminectomy of all the bones in my neck.
On July 17, 2026, Jay had a total knee replacement.
We are hoping this is not the beginning of an annual bone cutting event!😱
Because of my surgery, we already had made many adjustments in our home. We were also ready with a walker, which Jay ditched on the second day after surgery.
Jay has done amazingly well. He had his three week post op visit today. He is walking on even and uneven surfaces and up and down inclines. He is doing his exercises under the direction of his trainer (me!😍), who he sometimes calls a drill sargent.
