There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die … Ecclesiastes 3:1

God had a season picked out just for you.  You could have been born in 1855, but you weren’t.  You were born precisely at the time God ordained.  Why?

Sometimes we think life is all about us and just the people and places around us.  But we are far more important than just occupying one small space in the Universe.  We are a crucial link to the rest of the Plan for the whole earth!

Like the pieces of a puzzle, in order to fit into the larger Plan, we had to be born when we were and placed next to the other people in our lives, who were also born at just the right time.

Before you were born, God had a Plan for you.  And He has a Plan for every life your life will touch.  You may think your life really does not matter very much.  However, the people you have influenced will influence others, who will influence others … and on and on it goes.  You will never know how far your influence will go, either in your season on earth or in the many seasons after you leave earth.

So, if you are wondering if you should be here on earth now, the answer is a definite YES.  You were sent here for this very time and place.

Sometimes we get tired of our assignment to earth and we just want to go home.  A part of us remembers the place from which we were sent and we long for the time we will return.  But God alone sets the time of our arrival on earth and  He alone sets the time of our departure.

If you are wondering if your mission on earth is complete, the answer is simple.  If you are still here, you still have something to do!

For we are God’s Handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10

Yay! Glad to now subscribe to your blog posts! That reminded me of what Daddy told Granddaddy after Grandmother died. Since he was still here the Lord had more for him to do! I remember thinking how profound that was, and how perfect for him to hear at that time!
