Jesus did not give a parting promise when He ascended into Heaven. He gave an imparting Promise.
“And be sure of this. I am with you always!”
Matthew 28:20
Jesus said, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you!”
Luke 17:20-21
Jesus said, “I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”
John 14:20
Many do not realize The Amazing Truth of Jesus’ Words.
It is a simple fact. We do not have to invite Jesus into our heart. He is already there, hard wired in. We have only to discover He is there.
There was a time when we did not know we had a heart, lungs, stomach and a whole lot of things inside us, but it did not change the truth they were there, giving us life.
We may not understand all the details of how they work, but we know we need them to give us life.
We may not have known Jesus is inside us, but He is!
When He said, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in,” (Revelation 3:20) He meant it.
We always envision Him outside us knocking. But He is inside us, knocking, saying, “Here I am. Open up and let Me fill every part of you!” That knocking is your heartbeat!
When people talk about going to The Holy Land to “walk where Jesus walked,” I smile. We walked where Jesus walked in every step of our life, even if we did not know it.
When people say those who died have “gone to be with The Lord,” it seems like a strange statement. We are with the Lord now. The changing of our bodies is just a continuation of being with Him.
When people speak of Jesus’ Return one day, they often speak as if He is not here now. But He is. His visible “return” one day will be a time when everyone will see Him and know His Presence. They will no longer be able to deny what was true all along. He has always been with them.
Jesus told His Disciples, “Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.”
John 14:19
Was this just a super power given only to Jesus Disciples? No! He gave all of us this same ability. If you just look at the world in general, you will miss Him. But if you look and listen and expect to find Him, you will!
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13
As I reflected on the wonderful Presence of The Lord some years ago, He gave me a song from Him to us. I am not a professional singer. I am just a thankful recipient of The Love of Jesus, Who has been with me always, is now and shall ever be.
