Jesus said, “This is My Body, which is for you; do this to remember Me.”

1 Corinthians 11:24

Some believe He was talking about giving up His dying Body.  However, the real message of Easter is that He gave each of us His Resurrected Body.

He gave us The Body that will never die, the one that will run and not be weary.  He gave us the one that will dance.

He gave us The Body that will allow the eyes of the blind to be opened, the ears of the deaf unstopped and the tongue of the mute to speak and sing.

He gave us The Body that will no longer feel pain, sorrow or grief.  He gave us The Body that will feel Joy unending.

Why did His Resurrection Body still have wounds?  He wanted us to remember by His stripes we are healed.  He had no pain in those wounds, nor will we.

He gave us His Body as The Temple of His Holy Spirit.

He gave us His Body to minister to the world.

When He said His Body was broken for us, He was not referring to The Body on the cross.  Remember not one bone of that body was broken.

He was telling us His Resurrected Body would be broken and divided among all of us, separate, but One, able to reach across all times and places.

When He said, “Do this,” He was saying, “Live My Life I am giving you.”

When He said, “Remember Me,” He was saying, “Re-member Me.  Connect with all the other members of My Body and be One in Me.”

Go back and read His Words again.  Know He is speaking directly to you.

“This is My Body, which is for you; do this to remember Me.”
