There is an expression that says “what goes around comes around.”  It means what you put into the world will eventually come back to you in the same way.

When Jesus said, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” He was making the same point.  Put into the world what you want to come back to you.

Jesus said, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

Luke 6:37

Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”

Matthew 5:7

Life is an echo.  Jesus said, “I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Matthew 12:36-37

Whatever words we speak will return to us as either a blessing or the opposite.

As we reflect today, ask yourself

Did I judge?

Did I condemn?

Did I forgive?

Did I show mercy?

Did I put any words into the world that were careless and unloving?

Did I fill the world with Love?  If so, know it is on its way back to you!
