Our daughter once had a pet hamster. When she put it on the table, it would run every which way. As it came near to the edge of the table, she would put her hand in front and it would run another way.
Pretty soon, she was guiding its path around the table by putting her hands in various places.
As my life sometimes seems a series of learning from mistakes or encountering obstacles, I wonder how much of it is not random at all, but instead is God’s Guiding Hand.
God allows us free choice, but He also gives us plenty of opportunities to go the right way.
Sometimes we are frustrated when our chosen path seems blocked. We are forced to choose another way. We don’t realize God is mercifully saving us from disaster.
So don’t worry. God is watching over you and guiding you. He will keep you safe.
With a Mighty Hand and Outstretched Arm; His love endures forever!
