Jesus said, “My Father’s House is a House of Prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.”

Tonight He said the same to me.

My body is His House.  But I keep letting in the thief.  Satan is a liar and a thief.  His primary mission is to steal joy.

He sends in his demons like swarms of flies, each one carrying negative thoughts.  Their mission is to plant doubt and worry.

Then satan sends in the second wave,  They bring anxiety and fear.

His third wave is very targeted.  They do anything they can to build on the first two waves to make us believe God has not provided what we need and He is not going to.  Satan wants us to believe God has forsaken us.

Finally satan comes himself and tells us he can give us what we need with no waiting.

While most of us would not knowingly make a deal with the devil, it is very easy to get confused about who you are dealing with … especially when you have been under prolonged attack.

But it is into this scene that Jesus appears.  He does not speak to satan or his demons.  He looks at us and says, “My Father’s House is a House of Prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.”

Gulp!😳

We wait for Him to drive them out, but He says, “You do it!  You let them in.  You throw them out.”

As I have been battling some health problems recently, I have let in a lot of “flies.”

I told Jesus I did know how to get rid of them.  I felt too weak to exterminate them myself.  I have been praying, “Help”:a lot recently.

So what did He say to me?  He referred me to the training manual to see what He taught others who were under attack during their earthly life.

Paul said,

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:5

Jesus said, simply put, it comes down to what His Follower, James, wrote.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!

James 4:7

And as Isaiah said long ago,

You will keep those in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You because they trust in You.

Isaiah 26:3
