Many people think dying would be the absolutely worst thing that could happen to a person.
However, there could be something worse. Being in torment and not being able to die.
God made it clear from the beginning that was not what he wanted for His Children. He was not going to let them eat from The Tree of Life that would assure they would live forever, but now in their altered state.
He had bigger and better plans for Adam and Eve. He did want them to live, but as redeemed and freed people.
So God led them out of The Garden into the world. Were they cut off from The Tree of Life forever? No, only for a little while.
God would eventually transform them by allowing them to shed their sin infested bodies and claim a new body that could live forever.
In the meantime, God had work for Adam and Eve. They were the pioneers of the new world. God prepared them for the world outside. He dressed them, beginning with their underwear.
