There are only X more shopping days until Christmas! People ask, “Have you got all your Christmas shopping done yet?” For those who are familiar with the annual adrenalin rush, the question is one of many “kickers” that either brings exhilaration or panic.
The feeling of “I’m running out of time” may cause us to respond to whoever or whatever is calling our name the loudest and longest. In so doing, we may miss the still, small Voice of the One Whose Birthday we profess to celebrate. By this time in the Christmas season, we may have been exposed to enough hype that we wonder who this Jesus is anyway … and if He really has anything to do with us.
Jesus has everything to do with us! He is our Brother! We are all children of God!
See what great Love the Father has lavished on us,
that we should be called Children of God!
And that is what we are!

Our Brother, Jesus, was like us in many ways. He arrived on earth through the body of a woman. He grew up and learned from earth people. He ate, slept, walked, cried, laughed and experienced a full earth life. He had a Purpose Driven Life. He knew He was here to show the rest of God’s Children how to live a full, happy Life on Planet Earth and how to carry on the Mission forever.
… I have come that they may have Life, and have it to the full.
