Is there anyone in your life you just can’t forgive? Are there people you can forgive, but you can never forget what they did to you?
Jesus lived a Life of forgiveness. He freely forgave the sins of those who seemed to others to be unforgivable. The teachers of The Law were quite disturbed at Jesus’ liberal forgiveness policy. They wanted people to pay for their sins. Mercy was not a concept they understood.
And yet Jesus said, “Blessed are those who show mercy. They will be treated mercifully.” Matthew 5:7
And in one of His most chilling Messages, Jesus said, “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:15
Sometimes we fail to tell others the Whole Truth when we lead them to Christ. We correctly tell them to repent of their sins and receive God’s Forgiveness. But we neglect to tell them receiving God’s Forgiveness has another important condition: forgive other people!
