Chapter Twenty-Six:  A Truth Satan Never Wanted You To Know

What do you think about your body?  Do you cringe when you look in the mirror and immediately think of what is not perfect?  Do you look upon yourself with pride, admiring various features?  Do you fear aging and possible loss of the body you have/had in your youth?  Do you worry about illnesses or injuries happening to your body?

Why is satan so interested in the human body?  He really wants you to think it is the “be all – end all.”  Satan even told God a human would give everything he had to preserve his body, and that if God messed with a human’s body, that human would curse him to His Face.

Satan answered The Lord and said,

“Skin for skin!

Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.

However, put forth Your Hand now

and touch his bone and his flesh;

he will curse You to Your Face” …

Job 2:4-5

What is the one thing humans seem to fear most?  Losing their bodies!  Many humans are deathly (pun intended) afraid of dying.  We can’t imagine living without this present body.  Our body is important, but only as the outer wrapping of The Gift inside.  Paul well described The Truth.

Don’t you know that your body is a temple

that belongs to The Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God,

lives in you …

1 Corinthians 6:  19

How satan shudders when he thinks of it … and how he redoubles his efforts to keep you from ever knowing The Truth.  If you knew The Truth, you might not be so afraid of dying.  Satan might lose all his powers to tempt you into sins against your body or those of others.  You might call upon all The Power of The One inside of you.  Your enslavement to the fear of death might end.

Jesus came to take away the fear of death.  He not only came to teach us how to live life in the human body, He also came to assure us that we will live beyond the human body!

Therefore, since the children

share in flesh and blood,

He Himself likewise also partook of the same,

that through death

He might render powerless

him who had the power of death,

that is, the devil,

and might free those who

through fear of death

were subject to slavery all their lives.

Hebrews 2:15

Are you ready to step out of slavery to fear of death?  Read Chapter Twenty-Six and rejoice in The Truth about your body, The Temple Of The Holy Spirit!
