Chapter Twenty-Seven:  Get Dressed!  We’re Going Outside!

Jesus said something sad, but true when He said to His sleepy disciples,

“The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Matthew 26: 41

Sometimes God mercifully takes us away from the temptations we face, in order to give us a time to learn how to better resist them.  Paul rightly spoke of God’s Mercy when he said,

No temptation has overtaken you

except what is common to mankind.

And God is faithful;

He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

But when you are tempted,

He will also provide a way out

so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10: 13

God knew Adam and Eve were not strong enough to stand against the temptation to eat from The Tree of Life.  God wanted His Creations to live eternally in His Good.  He did not want them to be tortured in an eternal death.  In His Mercy, He removed Adam and Eve from having any access to The Tree of Life.

Satan and his demons would be in the world outside the garden.  But so would God.  God had already given the first couple outer garments.  Now He was going to give them the ultimate undergarments!

Chapter Twenty-Eight:  Temple Under Attack!

Satan was already hard at work training his demons how to get the humans to open themselves up, so he could come in and work from the insides of them.  He had been successful once.  He was sure he could do it again.  The humans were being exiled from God.  Satan was sure they must feel rejected and angry.  After a few days outside the garden, satan reckoned they would be ripe for picking.  But as usual, satan had not considered God’s Love, God’s Mercy, God’s Provision and God’s Constant Presence, even with those who had disobeyed him.
