Sometimes there are events that are so significant they draw people together, even as they are in different places.

Sometimes the events are negative.  Most of us remember where we were on September 11, 2001.  Wherever we were, we shared a common fear and a common grief.

Today people were drawn together as they looked at the sky and beheld something no one but God could do.  Wherever they were, they shared a common anticipation and a sense of wonder.

Those not easily given to emotion were touched and awed.  For a few moments, the petty stuff of earth took a back seat to The Glory of Heaven.

One day there will be an even more glorious sight to see in The Heavens.

Jesus is with us now.  In fact, He even said we could see Him now.  But not everyone recognizes Him.

However, on that future day, everyone will see Him.

Jesus said, “When the Son of Man comes, He will be as lightning that shines from one part of the sky to the other.”

Luke 17:24

John was given a preview of that day.  He wrote,  “Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him!”

Revelation 1:7

We cannot mark that day on our calendar.  It is known only to God.  Look for Jesus now.  Let Him shine through you so others can see Him too.

And get ready for the biggest celebration anywhere on that day when we rise and see The Heavens up closer than we can even imagine now.

If you have already died to earth and have been in Heaven, you get to come back too and lead the parade with Jesus.

For The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet The Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with The Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
